Have You Heard?
If you have not already, take a moment to download the "Skin Advocate" application for your iPhone. It was developed by our own UT Southwestern resident Shadi Kourosh, MD in conjunction with Dr. Paul Bergstresser and the Society of Investigative Dermatology.
Dr. Kourosh presented the app at the TDS Fall Meeting in Temple. The app allows you quickly and electronically provide patients with support group information sent as an anonymous email. There is no cost involved. Just search the iPhone App store for "dermatology" or "skin advocate".
Please spread the word to other colleagues or programs and help make patient advocacy go viral!

LEGISLATION ON TANNING BEDS
The legislation prohibits a minor under the age of 16 1/2 from using a tanning device and requires that a parent or legal guardian accompany a child between the ages of 16 1/2 and 18 and sign a parental consent form at the tanning facility.
