Texas Tech University Department of Dermatology in Lubbock, Texas is looking to recruit a faculty member at the rank of Instructor or higher. The department is looking for a general clinical dermatologist to join our small, but active faculty.

Currently, we have 9 residents and 3 faculty members. Residents and faculty are active both clinically and academically, with 15 publications over the past 2 years.

Texas Tech is the only Dermatology training program between the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Lubbock’s population is over 260,000, and we serve a regional population of over 1 million people. Skin cancer is common among our patients. The department is on pace to perform over 700 cases of Mohs surgery this year.

Lubbock has many amenities seen in a university town. Texas Tech’s student population is 40,000 and is home to Big 12 sports (football, basketball, baseball). The United Supermarket Arena is home to Texas Tech Basketball and also provides an excellent venue for major concerts. The climate, pleasant year round, is moderately dry due to the city’s 3200-foot elevation on the plains of Texas. There are 260 days of sunshine per year.

Applicant must be board-certified (or board-eligible) in Dermatology. Proportional call coverage for hospital and ED consults is expected.
