Member Types

Active Members
must be certified by the American Board of Dermatology or the American Board of Osteopathic Dermatology, be in active practice of Dermatology or Dermatopathology in the State of Texas, and have demonstrated professional competence, ethical standards, and personal conduct that reflect favorably upon the practice of  dermatology as judged by the members of the Society.
Active members are eligible to attend all meetings of the Society, may vote, hold office, and serve on committees. They shall pay all dues and assessments as established. Dues are $200 per year.

Associate Members must provide proof of training that qualifies him/her for the examination of the American Board of Dermatology, and be in active practice of Dermatology in the State of Texas.
Associate members are eligible to attend all meetings of the Society, and may vote, but shall not be eligible to hold elected office.They may serve on committees. Dues are $200 per year.

Affiliate Members must be a Dermatopathologist and have certification of Special Competence in Dermatopathology by the Boards of Dermatology and Pathology, and be in active practice of Dermatopathology in the State of Texas.  Affiliate members have all rights of Active Members, including the right to attend meetings and vote, but shall not serve in any elected office. They may serve on committees. Dues are $200 per year.

Resident Members must be a full-time Dermatology Resident enrolled in a program of the State of Texas.  Upon completion or termination of the Residency/Fellowship, the resident/fellow may then apply for Active membership in the TDS.  Resident/Fellow members do not pay dues, vote, hold office, or attend the Business Meeting.  They are encouraged to attend CME meetings and present posters and papers.  Dues are $0.00 (until completion of Residency/Fellowship)

Allied Health Members
must be a mid-level provider active in the practice of Dermatology under the guidance of a supervising physician who is an active member of TDS.  Allied Health members have rights to attend meetings and serve on committees, but shall not have the right to vote or serve in any elected office.  Dues are $200 per year.
